Meanwhile, the emergency situation at the "Friends for Life" dog shelter highlights the urgent need to find adoptive and foster homes for dogs at risk.

The heavy rains that have hit the country in recent days have created an emergency situation at the "Friends for Life" shelter in Moshav Herut. About a hundred dogs are in immediate danger following severe flooding that has affected the organization's compound, presenting a new challenge for the organization already struggling with the phenomenon of dog abandonment in Israel.

"Our dogs, who are already struggling for better and safer lives, are now facing a real life-threatening situation", the organization reports. The severe situation emphasizes the urgent need for immediate solutions, as the organization calls on the general public to join an emergency adoption and fostering campaign.

The Fight Against the Dog Trade Industry

The dog trade industry in Israel operates legally, but behind the scenes lies a harsh reality. In many breeding farms, female dogs are kept in harsh and inhumane conditions, serving as puppy-breeding machines. Poor conditions, overcrowding, and lack of proper medical care have become common phenomena in this industry.

Benefits of Adopting from Organizations

Adoption from organizations offers several significant advantages:
• Direct lifesaving of dogs at risk
• Lower costs, including vaccinations and neutering
• Wide variety of dogs suitable for different lifestyles
• Contributing to the fight against abandonment and unethical trade

Call for Immediate Action

The organization requests assistance in several ways:
• Adoption or temporary fostering of dogs
• Donations of blankets and equipment
• Food donations
• Help in spreading information on social networks

"This is our moment to be their voice", the organization emphasizes, "because they cannot do it alone".

Beyond the immediate crisis, adopting dogs from organizations represents a significant step toward broader cultural change. Studies show that adopted dogs develop special bonds with their new families, and adoption contributes to reducing the phenomenon of abandonment and uncontrolled breeding.

"Every adoption is not just saving the life of a single dog, but also a step toward a more moral and responsible society". The organization emphasizes that even those who cannot adopt permanently can contribute significantly through temporary fostering or material support.

The current emergency situation highlights the importance of the adoption system and support for animal rescue organizations. The public is invited to contact "Friends for Life" organization for more information about possible ways to help.
