Israeli security forces arrested an employee of a Palestinian radio station in Hebron last week, as officially confirmed today (18.2.25) by the Israel Police. The arrest, carried out in a joint operation between the Judea District and IDF units, took place during the suspect's working hours at the radio station.
"As part of the Israel Police and all security forces' fight against terrorism and incitement to terrorism, the Judea District, with the assistance of IDF forces, carried out an arrest of the suspect for inciting violence and terrorism", stated the official police announcement.
Footage distributed on X and Telegram social networks shows the moments of arrest, where security forces can be seen arriving at the location and detaining the suspect. The video shows uniformed personnel leading an individual, but no signs of a radio station or communication equipment are visible at the location.
According to foreign sources, the arrest was carried out on February 11, 2025. Reports on Arabic-language social media claim that the suspect was involved in spreading propaganda intended to support terrorist activities against Israel and encouraged joining terrorist organizations. According to these reports, the employee is also suspected of collaborating with Hamas.
The "Tracking" system published the first reports about the arrest on February 16, two days before the police's official confirmation. At that time, security officials refrained from responding to the publications.
"The Israel Police operates according to its legal authorities and will enforce the law based on its professional and operational judgment wherever required", the police emphasized in their official statement.
The arrest adds to a series of enforcement actions carried out by security forces in the Judea and Samaria region in recent months. Since the start of the war on October 7, security forces have intensified their activities against incitement and terrorism in the area, focusing on arresting suspects of incitement and support for terrorist organizations.
